PICA Project Implementation Committee (PIC), is responsible for leading project planning and implementation.
A Project Implementation Committee (PIC) is a high-level governance body responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and guidance to a project. It supports effective decision-making by ensuring the project remains aligned with organizational objectives, delivered within scope, schedule, and budget. The PIC addresses key risks and challenges, facilitates resource allocation, and strengthens stakeholder engagement, while serving as a vital link between executive leadership and project teams.
Through accountability, informed oversight, and timely resolution of issues, the Committee plays a critical role in enabling successful project implementation. The PIC is Chaired by the Senior Manager- Airports at SLASPA and comprises of senior staff delegates from the following agencies: SLASPA, Ministry of Finance, Civil Aviation and Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports & Energy. The Project Manager provides Secretariat support to the PIC.
